The cover to this albumn shows a long empty road which straight awy you could link to the name of albumn as it being a long road to recovery. The mise en scene of the cloudy grey day and the scenrey being quite plain gives a miserable sad feel to albumn. The costume that the artist is wearing shows us that the genre is likely to be rap a big hint of this is the hoody he is wearing. Eminem is also postioned on the very edge of the shot with his back facing the camera this could show his face not being significant as Eminem is a well known rapper and this albumn is his comeback albumn. The postioning of the tittle in the top right corner would mean that it could be read from the corner of a CD stand this relates to it being the sort of albumn that people would search for. There is also the warning parental advisary sticker on the corner of the album which warns us that the album will contain strong language and not aimed at youth. 
The scouting for girls albumn has no picture of the band on the front this albumn cover matches the single cover for the main hit on the albumn `This ain't a love song' with that cover also having no picture on and the same bright colours in a different order aswell as having the star shape with the tittle on making it stand out. The albumn also has the band's name in massive letters taking up at least half of the cover showing the band is quite important although not for the image. The cover has a feel good summer look to it with the bright colours which would also attract people who arent already fans. It also has list of the all songs that are on the albumn going along the bottom of the CD which is unconventional, as normally the front of the CD may list a hit song from the artist rather than them all as this will be repeated at the back. The fact that it has them all could be taken as that they are all on the front as they all have hit potentional.
Lady Gaga has become very well known for her image and at times very different sense of style. The image on her albumn cover reflects this by having very edgy haircut and outfit. The pose she is using isn't sexualisng herself very much althouh with the cover being in black and white it does add a sense of mystery,along with her hiding her face slightly. The hiding of half her face shows she isn't trying to establish herself by her face more jher style and music. The body language on the cover could also show her as hiding away slightly. The text is very simple this probly due to Lady Gaga being the main attraction and drawing your attention to the cover. The cover is in black and whiteisn't very common in genere of Lady Gaga's music, this again makes her different and stand out. The cover doesn't say a great amount about what the music is going to be like but as it is a follow up albumn from her other albumn the fame and Lady Gaga is played regularly on mainstream radio her fans will know what to expect.
